Ready-to-edit LayoutSplat books

File → Templates → Books · fiction & nonfiction opens twelve original starters. Each has six editable pages: front cover, title/credits, contents, two chapters and back cover. Titles, subtitles and author names remain native text frames, separate from the artwork. Chapter bodies include sample openings and lorem ipsum. Replace the examples, duplicate chapter pages and update contents references as your manuscript grows.

Most pages use a 6 × 9 inch format; the children’s starter uses 8 × 10 inches. These are editable designs, not a printer-specific wraparound cover/spine package. Confirm trim, bleed, gutter and cover requirements with your publishing destination. The copy is starter material rather than a finished book or researched advice. Mock titles can be replaced with your own.

Cover pictures embed into projects on open, so native saves and EPUB exports do not depend on remote image hosts. Download this collection also includes the standalone JPEG cover artwork and its reuse notice. The covers were created with the built-in imagegen tool; all twelve prompts, image dimensions and SHA-256 hashes are in splatworks/layoutsplat/book-covers/GENERATION.json. Their saved paths are splatworks/layoutsplat/book-covers/{lantern,atlas,station,tideline,orchard,fox,curiosity,garden,focus,table,walks,makers}.jpg.

Further template collections

The requested collections were reviewed for book categories and layout needs: Selfpublishing.com, Docs&Slides and TheGoodocs. They are also linked in the Books filter. LayoutSplat’s bundled designs and illustrations are original; they are not copies or redistributed downloads from those sites. Docs&Slides’ terms restrict sharing editable templates outside the user’s team. Download external templates from their publishers and follow their current terms and attribution requirements.

All template filters sort their displayed labels alphabetically using the interface language. “All” and the default industry palette stay first. Sorting preserves the chosen filter and applies to publication types, industries, orientation, publication languages, palettes and label/badge types.
